Art with purpose
I am a creative director with extensive experience in digital, social and traditional advertising for global brands. I like to think of myself as both a creative leader and a creator - I have a proven track record in building and mentoring effective teams and I am still a hands-on maker. I also have significant global experience, having led creative departments in London, New York, Toronto and Los Angeles.
My expertise is in brand campaigns, purposeful content and digital innovation. Plus, I have spent the last 10 years figuring out how to meet the increasing demands on production, whilst keeping quality exceptionally high (I have even been known to direct content on occasion).
Most recently I have been working for the US based digital agency The Shipyard. They like to use the phrase 'engineering brand love' - which pretty neatly sums up what I do: working at the intersection of data, insights and storytelling. Above all else, I love making things that are entertaining, which is why I have also been collaborating with show runners to package TV formats and branded content to brands.
Before that I spent 8 years as ECD for Spark44 in North America - the global agency created for Jaguar Land Rover. I was responsible for all creative output in US/Canada as well as working with the global team on some game-changing campaigns and spearheading the clients’ digital transformation. During my tenure Jaguar became the fastest growing luxury automotive brand in America and Land Rover sales went from strength to strength. Plus, we won the agency’s first new clients: Master & Dynamic and Eight O’Clock Coffee.
My time at Spark44 gave me a deep understanding of the automotive business, the result of a trusting client and a unique business model. It also developed the entrepreneurial and operational skills required to establish and grow offices on both sides of the Atlantic. Prior to my time in the States I was a Digital Creative Director at various design and marketing agencies in London including Start Design Consultancy and EuroRSCG.
The kind of work I admire makes cultural impact so I'm proud that I've made the pages of the New York Times, Variety and USA Today, and I’ve been lucky enough to have collaborated with media outlets including Vice, Complex, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, ESPN, Jimmy Kimmel and Condé Nast.
Campaigns that I've been a part of have been recognised by multiple award shows including Addys, IMF, Direct Response, DMA, Cannes Lions, AME, One Club, New York Festivals and Effies.
